THE DESIGN AND MAKING OF BOARD GAMES AND PLAYING PIECES

I plan to discuss the design approach I've adopted for my craft business making games and puzzles from many countries.

I'll do this in terms of aims, freedoms and constraints. First, I'll explain how my business differs from larger ones; then my reasons for not inventing my own games and puzzles; making by hand; using different materials and techniques (rather than just, say, working in wood); and using reclaimed/recycled materials. Finally I'll consider the commercial implications of this approach.
