APPLICATION OF THE NETWORK THEORY IN THE DYAMICS OF BOARD GAMES

Studying and modeling the structure and the dynamics of complex networks have attracted much attention in the last few years. New and fruitful models have been used to explain the arising and the evolution of a series of phenomena in many different fields, e.g. the dynamics of the Internet sites, the epidemic spreading and the interpersonal relationships. Other interesting applications can be found in the growth of the crystals, in the establishment of the modern languages, in the aggregation of small countries in a larger city and so on.

Networks appear to arrange through scale-free and dynamic aggregations of items. In the present lecture, relevant examples for the arising, the evolution and the success of board games will be discussed. In fact, the networks formed by the board games and the players seem to follow the same aggregation rules of other phenomena.
