NEW PROBLEMS ON OLD SOLITAIRE BOARDS
Some old solitaire boards are brought down from the literature, dusted off,
and re-examined. Some remarkable games are displayed on them. In this paper
we will talk about:
- Background and history
- Long sweeps on Wiegleb's 45-hole board
- Optimally short solutions on Wiegleb's board
- A difficult problem on the 39-hole 'semi-Wiegleb' board
- 'La corsaire' on the 41-hole diamond board
